April likes and loves

There's been plenty to smile about during April, here's my "Likes & Loves" of the month!

Spring flowers in the garden

I moved into our quaint little cottage with out of control garden last August, so I didn't get to see what it looks like in Spring - its hard not to smile at all this natural beauty right on the doorstep! The garden has been full of primroses and bluebells.

My Mother and Baby Photoshoot with Fay Lai

I was really excited to have a mum and baby photoshoot with Fay Lai, at the beginning of the month, its not something I always knew I wanted but actually its so nice to have this precious time captured in a really lovely photo! These are memories that will last a lifetime and its nice to know they won't consist of bad hair, bad lighting and ill-timed facial expressions (well, there may be some of those, but you'll never have to see them!)

Reconnecting

This month I was able to catch up with a couple of friends from uni when they came to see Lochlan, (I can't believe its 2 years this year since we graduated!) And also an old family friend of my mum's from Australia, I affectionately refer to him as my 'Aussie dad' so I was really happy he came all the way from Brisbane to see us. Goodness knows how much Lochy will have grown next time he comes, but it will probably be a good couple of years!

Filming a Commercial

Theres more about this is another post but in a nutshell; thanks to a Mumsnet email Lochlan and I found ourselves up in London for a few days filming a commercial for Lidl's baby products! It was the most amazing experience, and as I always wanted to work in film and television it's definitely something to check off my bucket list! I'm not sure when the final cut will air, or even if we'll be in it, but it was great fun, here's a few pictures I snapped during the shoot;

Back in the Saddle

I finally got my bum (gingerly) back in the saddle! I didn't go far as neither myself nor Star are fit, but it was lovely to be out enjoying the fresh air and sunshine with my lovely horse again!

Its been a great month, let's see what May brings!
